ABSTRACT
Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) especially in developing countries  like Egypt are faced with critical question of how to react to changes within the process of globalization. Globalization creates new business environment with new challenges, but also with new threats. In this work, it is represented crucial attributes concerning information technologies, which will determine the future success of SMEs in the new world of globalization. Therefore, this work will describe the BPM concept in SMEs and their readiness and acceptance of IT that constitute networking, IT, innovation etc. for the implementations of successful SMEs in the new world of globalization. Therefore, this technical paper defines the nature, scope and characteristics of SMEs, as well as identifying their contribution to the currently stated Egyptian strategy towards sustainable development up to the year 2030. This will assist them to cope with the new world of  globalization with its severe competition. Especial attention is directed to highlight the current attributes of the usage of IT, networking, and innovation for the beneficiary of the Egyptian SMEs in the forthcoming era related to Egyptian social and economic development. The ultimate aim is to get these SMEs mature and readiness to utilize the recent development of information technologies and to improve their BPM.
